CKT Aviation is a tribute
to Christopher Karl Thompson.
Christopher grew up on the banks of the Koyukuk River, in the fly in only community of Bettles. Christopher's heritage is Iñupiaq, from the Kobuk River area. Christopher had a deep love for the region, the people, and the community. He led by example with his kindness and thirst for adventure. Chris was a pilot, an outdoorsman, snowmachiner, skier, mountain biker, and mechanical & civil engineer. Chris was able to fix anything, and he often was seen with a tool in his hand. He was known for volunteering his time to help others.
His life ended unexpectedly. His absence left a large hole in the lives of many. We can only imagine how many more lives he would have touched had he lived on. Our promise to Christopher is to carry on his passion for community. His spirit lives on by helping Alaskans.
